18 holes. Par 72. 7,057 yards from the championship tees. 17 water hazards threaded through live oaks and Lowcountry marshland. Wedgefield Country Club's course has been a Georgetown institution since 1972 — and it's only getting better.
Porter Gibson and Bob Toski brought their combined mastery to the Lowcountry landscape of Georgetown in 1972. The result is a course that uses every natural feature of the site — live oaks, marshland, and 17 water bodies — to create a layout that is both scenic and strategically demanding.
Under new ownership since October 2021, the course is undergoing continuous improvements to return it to its best playing condition. The bones designed by Gibson and Toski are exceptional — the renovation simply honours them.
